■ Genius of directing

Q : On the previous season of Seoul Fashion Week Kang Dong Joon’s collection, instead of Designer Kang, your proposal has become a hot topic. Whose idea was that?

A : The rose flowers proposal was hyung’s (designer Kang Dong Joon) idea. I’ve also met (Kang) Dong Joon hyung several times with his wife (or girlfriend) in private. He asked me to suggest him how he should do the proposal as he wants to propose her. So, I suggested I will give her the flowers and make it looks like I am the one who’s proposing. People would be really curious with that. He agreed, so we came early to the rehearsal and practiced.

Q : Designer Kang Dong Joon must be trusting your planning skill. We, too, chose you and Kim Won Joong as model who have great directing (or planning) skill on our previous interview.

A : I’ve always like that kind of stuff (directing/planning). My physical condition isn’t that good compared to other model. So, I want to show something different. For example, Dongjoon hyung has a collection with mafia concept. I asked them to give me cigar and some other props to look different.

Q : Kim Woo Bin vs. Kim Won Joong. Whose directing skill is better?

A : Kim Won Joong is really good. Wonjoong hyung’s expression is alive. So I think, he is better than me. He is by far better than me. You will know if you watch the show, but his expression is really different.

Q : Style between each designers are different. Isn’t it hard to perform on the stage that suit with the style?

A : The clothes itself are very pretty so it feels different by just wearing it. It feels more different after the hair and make-up are done. Actually, these can still be seen even it’s just a walk. I know how they feel since I’ve been doing fashion show with designers that I closed to. So, it’s more comfortable to express their style.

Woobin : คิมวอนจุงเก่งมากครับ  พี่วอนจุงแสดงออกถึงความมีชีวิตชีวา ผมคิดว่าพี่เขาเก่งกว่าผมครับ  ผมยังห่างไกลจากพี่เขามากเลย คุณจะรู้ได้เลยถ้าคุณได้ดูโชว์  การแสดงออกของพี่เขาแตกต่างมาก ๆ ครับ

Q : ดีไซน์เนอร์แต่ละคนต่างก็มีสไตล์ต่างกัน  ยากมั๊ยที่จะทำตัวให้เหมาะกับแต่ละสไตล์เวลาที่อยู่บนเวที
Woobin : เสื้อผ้ามีความงดงามในตัวของมันเอง  แล้วก็ให้ความรู้สึกแตกต่างกันเพียงแค่เราสวมใส่มันครับ  แล้วก็จะยิ่งต่างมากขึ้นไปอีกเวลาที่เราทำผมแต่งหน้า  เราจะรู้สึกถึงสิ่งนี้ได้เลยครับแม้ว่าจะเป็นแค่การเดินแบบก็ตาม  ผมรู้ว่าพวกเขารู้สึกยังไงก็ตอนที่ผมได้มาทำแฟชั่นโชว์กับดีไซน์เนอร์ที่ผมสนิทด้วย  มันยิ่งทำให้ผมมั่นใจในสไตล์ของพวกเขามากขึ้นครับ

■ Kim Woo Bin as a model

Q : Your runway at the open Seoul Fashion Week on March was not that much compared to your early days. Didn’t you feel regretted?

A : It was a show with four designer, Kim Seo Ryong, Jeong Doo Yeong, Kang Dong Joon and Song Hye Myeong. I used to do 7~8 runway a day on my early days. So I thought, it won’t be tiring if I do another one runway but it’s tiring. I want to do more in the future but I don’t know since it’s depends on the situation. This time I’m preparing for the movie so I don’t think I’ll do runway since it’s overlapping with my schedule.

Q : Personally, do you have preferred style?

A : I like Designer Kim Seo Ryong’s outfits the best. I always wear his outfits when I have schedule. It’s too bad I can’t wear some of the outfits since I have a large frame. However, I try to wear the outfits I wore for fashion show (for schedule?)

Q : Who provided the outfits on a fashion show?

A : The sponsorship, of course. The outfits are borrowed from the sponsor. But I think they will give you the outfits if you asked for it (laughs)

Q : Wouldn’t Designer Kang Dong Joon be sad if he heard about this (about he likes Designer Kim’s outfits)

A : I always wear Dongjoon hyung’s outfits! I always wear it when I’m doing drama. And of course, I still wear it these days. I can’t wear Hyemyeong nuna’s outfits that often because it’s too much. For this upcoming movie, Designer Jeong Doo Yeop will sponsor his outfits.

Q : Your name are getting the attention as an actor and your popularity are increasing. How do you feel to be on the runway again?

A : It was very fun (runway). It’s something I’ve always want to do and it’s familiar with me. It became more fun because there are many people that I’m closed with. It feels like coming home after leaving for vacation. I talked a lot too. At that time, I was doing a tv program. When I watched the broadcast, I looked so excited. That’s how happy I am to do runway again. It’s nice to meet the model once in every 6 months. There are some whom I can’t meet since they are in army.

Q : โดยส่วนตัวแล้วคุณมีสไตล์ที่ชอบมั๊ย

Woobin : ผมชอบเสื้อผ้าของดีไซน์เนอร์คิมซอรยองที่สุดครับ  ผมจะสวมเสื้อผ้าของเขาเวลาไปทำงานตลอดเลย  ตั้งแต่ผมตัวใหญ่ขึ้นมันก็ไม่ดีเลยครับที่ผมไม่สามารถสวมเสื้อผ้าบางชุดได้  แต่ผมก็พยายามจะใส่ชุดที่ผมเคยเดินแบบให้นะครับ

Q : ใครเป็นคนให้เสื้อผ้ากับคุณเวลาไปเดินแบบ
Woobin : สปอนเซอร์ครับ  เสื้อผ้าจะถูกยืมมาจากสปอนเซอร์  แต่ผมคิดว่าเขาจะให้เสื้อผ้าคุณนะถ้าคุณขอ (หัวเราะ)

Q : ดีไซเนอร์คังดงจุนจะเสียใจนะที่ได้ยินคุณพูดว่าคุณชอบเสื้อผ้าของดีไซเนอร์คิม
Woobin : ผมสวมเสื้อผ้าของพี่ดงจุนตลอดเลยครับ  แม้กระทั่งตอนถ่ายละคร  แล้ววันนี้ผมก็ใส่มาด้วย  ผมสวมชุดของพี่เฮมยองบ่อยไม่ได้เพราะมันราคาแพงครับ  แล้วภาพยนตร์เรื่องที่ผมจะเล่นต่อไปดีไซน์เนอร์จองดูยอบก็จะเป็นสปอนเซอร์เสื้อผ้าให้ผมครับ

Q : ชื่อของคุณได้กลายเป็นจุดสนใจในฐานะนักแสดงและกำลังได้รับความนิยมเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ  รู้สึกยังไงบ้างที่ได้มาอยู่บนรันเวย์อีกครั้ง
Woobin : มันสนุกมากเลยครับ  มันเป็นอะไรที่ผมอยากจะทำแล้วก็ใกล้เคียงกับตัวผมมาก  แล้วมันก็สนุกมากขึ้นเพราะว่ามีหลายคนที่ผมสนิทด้วย  มันเหมือนว่าผมได้กลับบ้านหลังจากที่ไปเที่ยวมา  ในตอนที่ผมอัดรายการทีวีผมพูดเยอะมากเลย  พอได้มานั่งดูตอนออกอากาศผมดูตื่นเต้นมาก  มันเป็นอะไรที่มีความสุขมากที่ได้มาเดินแบบอีกครั้ง  รู้สึกดีที่ได้มาเจอกับเพื่อนในรอบหกเดือน  มีบางคนที่ผมไม่ได้เจอกับเขาเลยตั้งแต่เขาไปเป็นทหาร

■ The first step as a model

Q : Not long ago, your confession about difficulties before debut in a broadcast has been a hot topic.

A : It’s true about my difficulties before debut. The agency was in difficulties too. To be honest, I don’t want to talk about that at the broadcast. I want to talk about it later, with cool. I  didn’t tell the writers about it at the meeting before the shoot. But on the set, the seniors were talking about their difficulties and I don’t have that much difficulties. So I talked about this because of the mood on the set.

Q : After the broadcast, your model friend, Jang Migwan, whom you spend the time (before debut) together has been the most searched keyword.

A : He said it was very hard for him after the broadcast aired. Because many people suddenly gained interest in him… He turned off his phone because many had calling him. Truthfully, thanks to him I was able to escape from the hard time. We rely on each other a lot back then.

Q : So Jang Migwan is your best friend among the model?

A : I have 6~7 best friends among the model. They are (Jang) Migwan, Hyuksoo hyung (Lee Soohyuk), (Kim) Yeonggwang hyung, (Hong) Jonghyeon hyung and others. [he didn’t mention jongsuk oh i’m hurt]

Q : What activity you do after your debut?

A : I think I’ve been on stage for almost all collection for menswear. There were 7~8 stage for Seoul Fashion Week a day. I think I do a lot of decent shows. I have been doing Seoul Fashion Week since it was first started on 2008, when I was 20 years old. I keep doing it without missing a season. After I started working for broadcast, I can’t do modelling that much. This job is fun and it is a stimulus for me so I want to keep doing fashion show.

Q: เมื่อไม่นานมานี้  คุณได้พูดถึงความลำบากก่อนเดบิวต์ในรายการทีวีซึ่งได้กลายเป็นหัวข้อข่าวร้อน

Woobin : ความลำบากก่อนเดบิวต์เป็นเรื่องจริงครับ  เอเจนซี่ก็ลำบากด้วยเหมือนกัน  จริง ๆ แล้้วผมไม่อยากจะพูดถึงเรื่องนี้ในรายการทีวีเลย  ผมอยากจะพูดถึงเรื่องนี้ทีหลังแบบเท่ห์ ๆ ครับ  ผมไม่ได้บอกคนเขียนบทก่อนที่จะถ่ายทำนะครับ  แต่ขณะถ่ายทำ  รุ่นพี่พูดถึงเรื่องความยากลำบากกัน  แล้วผมก็มีเรื่องความลำบากอยู่ไม่กี่เรื่อง  ผมก็เลยเล่าออกไปเพราะอารมณ์พาไปครับ

Q : หลังรายการออกอากาศ  จางมิกวัน  เพื่อนนายแบบที่คุณเคยมีช่วงเวลาที่ยากลำบากด้วยกันกลายเป็นคำที่คนค้นหามากที่สุด

Woobin : เขาบอกว่าหลังรายการออกอากาศมันทำให้เขาลำบากมากเลยครับ  เพราะว่ามีคนมากมายพุ่งความสนใจไปที่เขา  เขาปิดโทรศัพท์เพราะมีคนโทรหาเยอะมาก  ต้องขอบคุณเขาครับที่ทำให้ผมหลุดพ้นจากช่วงเวลาที่ยากลำบากมาได้  หลังจากนั้นมาเราต่างก็วางใจซึ่งกันและกัน

Q : แสดงว่าในบรรดานายแบบด้วยกันแล้วจางมิกวันเป็นเพื่อนที่คุณสนิทที่สุด

Woobin : ผมมีเพื่อนสนิทที่เป็นนายแบบ 6-7 คน  มี  จางมิกวัน  พี่ฮยอกซู (ลี ซูฮยอก)  พี่ (คิม)ยงกวัง  พี่(ฮง)จงฮยอน แล้วก็คนอื่นครับ (ตรงนี้แอบฮาต้นฉบับภาษาอังกฤษเป็นจงบิน(จองซอก&วูบิน) เขาเลยบอกว่าเขาเจ็บปวดที่วูบินไม่พูดถึงจองซอกคะ)

Q : คุณทำอะไรหลังจากเดบิวต์

Woobin : ผมคิดว่าผมเดินแบบให้กับเสื้อผ้าผู้ชายเกือบจะทุกคอลเลคชั่น  มี 7-8 เวทีต่อวันในงานโซลแฟชั่นวีค  ผมคิดว่าผมได้ทำโชว์ดี ๆ เยอะมาก  ผมทำงานกับโซลแฟชั่นวีคตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นในปี 2008  ตอนนั้นผมอายุ 20  ผมทำมาตลอดไม่เคยพลาดสักฤดูกาลเลย  แต่หลังจากที่เริ่มออกรายการทีวีผมก็ไม่ได้ทำงานนายแบบมากนัก  งานนี้สนุกและมันเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้ผม  ผมก็เลยอยากทำงานกับแฟชั่นโชว์ต่อไป

■ Model… The story behind it
Q : What job will the model do if they don’t have fashion show?
A : Some model will have photo shoot but there are model who have nothing to do. Most of them will do part time job. If their house are in Seoul and the condition at their house is fine, they will go shopping. But most of them will do part time job. Especially those who came from the province. Because we have to make earning. Even if we do a lot of work during Fashion Week, it won’t be enough. The fashion industry’s pay is very small. Plus, there are many model these days and there are friends who had been conned and didn’t receive the pay after a show. They were suffering.

Q : We are curious about the process to be a runway model.
A : In my case, I saw an audition of a collection when I first started. It was at Dongdaemun. If you go to the audition, you will have to sit in front of the designer. They will watch your walking… If they think you’re okay, they will call you after a meeting. You will have to wear the clothes and if it fit, you will have to do the rehearsal and walking later. Then, you will be on the stage if there’s no problem. It will get easier after you’ve done one or two show with the designer and know how this (runway model) work.

I always go to the audition before. Since I started doing tv programs, I couldn’t go. I keep doing the show for my close designer and because it’s fun. But some designer only use model who had always do their show, so they (the model) don’t have to go through the audition.

Q : Everyone is exploding charisma on the runway. How is it on the backstage?
A : It’s crazy. We’ll wear the clothes when it’s time. The designer will be busy preparing the clothes on the model who will come out first. Those clothes were made a few months before with struggle. When it didn’t fit with us, we would be really sorry. But we have to go on stage too. So I think it’s best to try the clothes first when there’s time before doing anything else.
Actually, every fashion show are different. If the show have many model, we’ll be more relaxed. So, I will wear the clothes and chat. I will come out after they called “Kim Woobin, please come out”

Q : ถ้าไม่มีแฟชั่นโชว์แล้วนายแบบทำอะไรกัน 
Woobin : บางคนจะมีงานถ่ายแบบแต่ก็มีบ้างที่ไม่มีอะไรจะทำ เกือบทั้งหมดจะทำงานพาร์ทไทม์ ถ้ามีบ้านอยู่ในโซลและที่บ้านไม่มีปัญหาอะไร พวกเขาก็จะไปช้อปปิ้ง แต่เกือบทุกคนก็จะทำงานพาร์ทไทม์ครับโดยเฉพาะคนที่มาจากต่างจังหวัดครับเพราะเราจำเป็นต้องหาเงิน ถึงแม้เราจะทำงานอย่างหนักตลอดแฟชั่นวีค แต่ก็ไม่พอ  ในวงการแฟชั่นมีการจ่ายค่าตอบแทนที่น้อยมาก อีกอย่างในทุกวันนี้มีนายแบบมากมายและก็มีเพื่อนที่ทำงานโดยไม่ได้รับค่าตอยแทน พวกเขาต่างก็ลำบาก 

Q : เราอยากรู้เกี่ยวกับขั้นตอนการเป็นนายแบบบนรันเวย์
Woobin : สำหรับผม ผมเริ่มจากการออดิชั่นที่ทงแดมุน ถ้าคุณไปออดิชั่นคุณจะต้องนั่งตรงหน้าดีไซน์เนอร์ พวกเขาจะดูท่าทางการเดินของคุณ ถ้าเขาคิดว่าคุณโอเค เขาจะโทรหาคุณหลังจากนั้น คุณจะได้สวมเสื้อผ้าถ้ามันพอดี คุณก็จะได้ซ้อมเดิน แล้วถ้าไม่มีปัญหาอะไร คุณก็จะได้ขึ้นเวที  มันจะง่ายขึ้นหากคุณได้ทำงานกับดีไซน์เนอร์สักสองสามครั้ง และรู้ว่าเขาทำงานกันยังไง

Q : ทุกคนต่างก็มีเสน่ห์บนรันเวย์ แล้วหลังเวทีล่ะเป็นยังไง 
Woobin : มันบ้ามากเลยครับ เราจะได้สวมเสื้อผ้าเมื่อถึงเวลา ดีไซน์เนอร์จะวุ่นวายอยู่กับการเตรียมเสื้อผ้าให้กับคนที่จะเดินออกไปก่อน เสื้อผ้าพวกนั้นถูกทำขึ้นมาด้วยความยากลำบากก่อนงานสองถึงสามเดือน เมื่อมันไม่พอดีกับเรา เราก็จะรู้สึกแย่มาก ๆ แต่เราก็ยังต้องทำงานต่อ ผมก็เลยคิดว่าหากมีเวลาลองเสื้อผ้าก่อนที่จะทำอย่างอื่นมันจะเยี่ยมมาก ที่จริงแล้วทุกแฟชั่นโชว์มีความแตกต่าง ถ้างานไหนมีนายแบบเยอะ ๆ เราก็จะรู้สึกสบาย ๆ ผมก็จะสวมเสื้อผ้าไปคุยไป แล้วค่อยเดินออกไปตอนที่เขาบอกว่า "วูบิน ออกมาได้แล้ว"

“My dream once before was to be a Professor of Biology at Seoul National University. (laughs) I don’t even know if Seoul National University has Biology course but because I like things related to ecology, I dreamed of that. By the end of 7^th grade (14 years old), we were asked to write our future career. At that time, I have to find a career that more realistic and a career that I really want to do but I can’t find it. When it’s time to present it, I myself unknowingly said I want to be a model.”

Kim Woobin, a model turns to actor whose price is rising day by day, was very tall as a kid and has been interested in fashion which was influenced by his mother. Since then, he has been dreaming to be a model.

“After I wrote my future career as model, I let my parents know about it. My parents said ‘Okay, do what you want to do. Find and do a work you think can do the best’. So I started to think more seriously about this.”

Q: You wrote your dream as a model without a second thought. Have you always interested in this field?

A: I’m not sure. I think I’ve been self-conscious since I was a kid. I apply hair gel even if I’m just going to grocery store. So, I think it’s true that I’m interested in people’s attention.

Q: You are tall since you were a kid. Didn’t you hear people told you to be a model?

A: No. I was very thin back then. Thou I’m thin too now… Before I gain weight and start exercising, I was 59kg in 11^th grade (18 years old). My height back then was the same with my height right now. I have nothing but bones. I prepared for entrance examination for model lesson and gradually exercising when the examination is about to come. I ate eggs, potatoes, sweet potatoes and supplements every day. I strictly follow my diet about 3 months. So I was able to gain 12kg.

Q: You must be very determined with your dream.

A: Yes. I’m very determined. I never hesitated about it. I’m determined before my debut but after I have debuted, I’m become more determined. Because being a model is so fun.

Q: You are cute in broadcast programs but very charismatic on runway. How are you usually?

A: I’m a human too so I have various side. I’m shy with strangers. I will make jokes and aegyo if we are close. I have always playing strong characters for dramas. It’s just an act so I thought the viewers wouldn’t think that it’s really my personality. But every time in interview they said they really thought I was like that.

In “School 2013”, there is a scene where Heungsoo and Namsoon were reconciling while eating ramyun. We got the script 30 minutes before filming, there was a lot of dialogue and we were busily trying to memorize it all. I did not practise it even once with Jongsuk, but on the very first take, we got the ‘ok’ — it is the first time that happened. That was the first time when I found that we could match well by just looking into each other’s eyes. When we had to do the extra shots, my tears just came tumbling down. It was a feeling I cannot describe, but sent goosebumps all over my body. “What is happening?”, I kept feeling so embarrassed.
During the filming of “School 2013”, there were a lot of moments like that made me feel almost intoxicated. There are many actors of similar age in the drama, which unnerved me but also filled me with ambition. That scene where I cried and reconciled with Namsoon at the foot of the wall, and also that scene where Namsoon asked Heungsoo, “It’s not you, why do they say it’s you?” “Because I lived recklessly.” — these scenes make my heart ache with pain, and are deeply engraved in my memory.

Annyeonghaseyo. This is Kim Woobin~ Thanks to Jongsuk’s star column, I have the chance to meet everyone again. Isn’t this fun? Hehe… Jongsuk seems to have grown big now. Haha. (I’m joking ^ ^)

Let me say how I have come to know Jongsuk in the first place. Jongsuk and I both debuted as models. We would see each other often at fashion shows; it is hard to not become friendly when you stand on the same stage together. We didn’t become close because we acted together, we were already close before that.

Although we were friends before, it wasn’t to the level where we knew each other’s personalities well, since we haven’t had the chance to converse deeply before. But during the filming of the drama, I’ve come to know Jongsuk a lot better, and found that we actually have a lot of similarities. Of course, our personalities are different, but the things we like, the things we think about, even the things we are troubled about, they are really the same. Since we are born in the same year, we feel similarly about a lot of things. Haha~ Jongsuk and I have a much deeper friendship because of “School”, right? Our “School” is the best~!

One thing that is regretful is that after filming has ended, is that both of us had a ton of individual interviews and CF filming schedules, without much private time. Luckily, we filmed a CF together and went on the variety show “Running Man” together, so we got to see each other from time to time. Even when we don’t have work together, we still contact each other. Because we are friends~!

Jongsuk’s greatest assets are his flower boy good looks and the leadership and care he has for the people around him. He is the best, no matter as friend or a rival. Ah, and also he is good at making sudden weird comments? However, when he says it, people never dislike it or feel that it’s weird… that seems to be Jongsuk’s special charm! What a blessed little rascal. ^ ^

Now can I say a little bit about myself? Haha. I am now in the midst of preparing for the filming of the movie “Friends 2”. Working hard on learning the dialect, which is almost like a foreign language. I am doing my best to let the fans see an even better side of myself ^ ^

สิ่งเดียวที่ทำให้เราเศร้าหลังการถ่ายละครจบลงก็คือเราสองคนมีตารางงานทั้งสัมภาษณ์ทั้งโฆษณาเยอะมากจนไม่มีเวลาว่างเลย  โชคดีที่เราได้ถ่ายโฆษณาและไปออกรายการรันนิ่งแมนด้วยกัน  เรายังได้เจอกันเป็นครั้งคราว  ถึงแม้จะไม่ได้ทำงานด้วยกัน  แต่เราก็ยังติดต่อกันอยู่ ก็เราเป็นเพื่อนกันนี่ครับ~!

Yoon Jongshin: For how long you lived like that?
Woobin: It’s for around 6 months. *continuing to what he previously want to say* I’ve done many modeling jobs for free, so it was kinda hard. I don’t receive any money for my works, so I’ll just fill my stomach with water. And I’ll secretly sneak to the sauna. I kept doing that. This person who sits in the entrance counter whose being sleepy all the time at first doesn’t know me, but then she starts to recognize me because I kept doing it. At that time, I had one friend whose in the same situation as mine, and we have the same dream (being model). We were contemplating on how about if we just quit this whole thing. This friend is also having a hard time, so then we decided to just endure it together and keep silence about our hard times. But now I’m really really happy, I’m doing many works...
Yoon Jongshin: What is that friend’s name?
Woobin: That friend’s name is Jang Migwan. He’s currently doing a lot of model works and sometimes appearing on TV broadcast.
Yoon Jongshin: He’s been through a lot of hardships, isn’t he? *patting Woobin’s back*
Woobin: My favorite quotes is ‘God only gives pain to those who can overcome it.’ I saw that while reading a book, and that quotes gives me a lot of strength.
Yoon Jongshin: Since when you starts feeling better after those hardships?
Woobin: Since I start working for TV broadcast, I met a lot of people. Those people are helping me to get out from that scam agency, because actually there is no company, therefore I can’t received my money, and then the CEO is running away. *bitter laugh* At that time, every morning I’ll wake up very late. Because I’ll be hungry if I wake up, that’s why I wake up very late. The first thing we (Woobin and Migwan) will do is looking through out contact list and see if there is any people who can treat us to meal. They’re usually our sunbaenim or our teachers.
Kim Heesun: Ah.. where is my phone?
Woobin: *laugh*

#8:  วูบินกับช่วงเวลาที่ยากลำบากในอดีต
WB: ผมมาโซลด้วยการเริ่มทำงานเป็นนายแบบ  ในตอนนั้น ผมรู้สึกผิดที่จะขอเงินจากพ่อแม่  พ่อของผมไม่ได้ทำงานมาสักระยะแล้ว  ผมก็เลยต้องไปใช้ชีวิตอยู่ในซาวน่า
YJS : ซาวน่าในโซลเหรอ
WB: *พยักหน้า* ครับ
JG : ตอนนั้นคุณทำงานพาร์ทไทม์ด้วย?
WB : *ทำหน้าสงสัย* ผมมีงานนายแบบค่อนข้างมาก *กลั้นน้ำตา* ขอโทษครับ (ขอโทษที่ร้องไห้)
YJS : คุณใช้ชีวิตแบบนั้นอยู่นานแค่ไหน
WB : 6 เดือนครับ  *นิ่งคิดว่าจะพูดอะไรต่อ*  ผมทำงานโดยไม่ได้รับเงิน มันเป็นอะไรที่ลำบากมาก  เพราะไม่มีเงินผมเลยต้องดื่มน้ำประทังความหิว  ผมจะแอบไปที่ห้องซาวน่าทำอยู่อย่างนั้นตลอด คนดูแลที่นั่งอยู่หน้าทางเข้าซาวน่ามักจะหลับอยู่  ก็เลยไม่รู้จักผม  พอผมทำแบบนั้นบ่อยเข้าเธอก็เลยจำผมได้  ตอนนั้นผมมีเพื่อนคนหนึ่งที่ตกอยู่ในสถานการณ์เดียวกัน  เรามีฝันเหมือนกัน  เราเคยพูดกันว่าจะเป็นยังไงหากเราหลุดพ้นไปจากสิ่งนี้ได้  เพราะเราต่างก็มีช่วงเวลาที่ยากลำบาก  เราเลยตัดสินใจว่าจะสู้ไปด้วยกันและจะเก็บเรื่องนี้ไว้เป็นความลับ  แต่ตอนนี้ผมมีความสุขมาก  มีงานให้ทำมากมาย...
YJS : เพื่อนของคุณชื่ออะไร
WB : จาง มิกวัน ตอนนี้เขามีงานนายแบบเยอะมาก แล้วก็ออกทีวีบ้างครับ
YJS : เขาผ่านความยากลำบากมามากใช่มั๊ย *ตบหลังวูบิน*
WB : คติของผมคือ " พระเจ้าจะมอบความเจ็บปวดให้กับคนที่รับมือกับมันได้เท่านั้น"  ผมอ่านเจอในหนังสือครับ  คำพูดนี้ทำให้ผมแข็งแกร่ง
YJS : หลังจากช่วงเวลาแห่งความยากลำบาก  เมื่อไหร่ที่คุณรู้สึกดีขึ้น
WB : พอผมเริ่มออกทีวี  ผมได้เจอคนมากมาย  แล้วพวกเขาก็ช่วยให้ผมออกจากเอเจนซี่เดิม  ที่จริงแล้วมันไม่มีบริษัทอะไรหรอกครับ  ก็เลยทำให้ผมไม่ได้รับค่าตอบแทน  แล้ว CEO ก็หนีไป  *หัวเราะ* ตอนนั้นผมจะตื่นสายทุกวัน  เพราะถ้าตื่นเช้าก็จะหิวมันเป็นเหตุผลว่าทำไมต้องตื่นสาย  อย่างแรกที่เราทำคือดูรายชื่อคนที่เราติดต่อว่าจะมีใครเลี้ยงข้าวเราได้บ้าง  พวกเขามักจะเป็นรุ่นพี่หรือไม่ก็ครูของเรา

#9: Woobin’s story on his sister’s graduation ceremony.
Woobin: My sister had a graduation ceremony. When she was graduating middle school, I don’t come to her graduation ceremony, because of that, I kept being chewed out by her for 3 years straight. So when she graduates high school, I was determined to come. At that time, I was currently filming for White Christmas, so I had this red hair. I went there together with my model friends, and we had this style that no one had in Jeonju. We were riding taxi and get off in front the school gate. And then we walk all the way to the graduation ceremony sites.
MCs and guests: Whoa.
Yoon Jongshin: So how’s your sister’s expression?
Woobin: At that time, I haven’t meet my sister. But the other students and their family are gathering around us and their facial expression was wondering since there’s no one in Jeonju had our kind of style, with different kinds of hair, and wearing all black clothing. They were all looking at us weirdly, then one of them saying, “Oh! Isn’t that guy is from that drama?” after seeing my hair color.
Yoon Jongshin: Well, of course, his hair color is similar to bibimbap!
Woobin: After hearing that person saying that, everyone was like, “Oh..” and they starts asking for sign and what I was doing there, I said to them that I come for my sister’s graduation ceremony. Originally, I’m not good at giving sign, but after that day, I’m good at it. Because of what happened on that day, I thought my sister would be really thankful to me but she’s just act as her usual self, she’s just like, “Oh, you come?” and then just nodding her head.
Shin Dongyup: Maybe she felt embarrassed that her oppa attracts such attention. How about her friend’s reaction?
Woobin: Ah yes, they’re really like it. They take many pictures. And my friends who come with me are all good-looking. Amongst those friends of mine, Migwan is also there.

WB : น้องสาวของผมเข้าร่วมงานพิธีจบการศึกษาตอนที่เธอเรียนมัธยมต้น  แต่ผมไม่สามารถไปร่วมงานได้  ผมโดนเธอต่อว่าอยู่ถึง 3 ปี  พอเธอจบไฮสคูลผมก็เลยไปงาน  ตอนนั้นผมกำลังถ่ายทำละครเรื่อง White Christmas ผมของผมก็เลยเป็นสีแดง  ผมไปที่นั่นพร้อมกับเพื่อนนายแบบ  พวกเขามีสไตล์ที่แตกต่างจากคนที่ชอนจู  เรานั่งแท็กซี่แล้วไปลงที่หน้าโรงเรียน  แล้วก็เดินไปที่สถานที่จัดงาน

YJS : น้องสาวของคุณเธอว่ายังไงบ้าง
WB : ตอนแรกยังไม่เจอกับน้องสาวครับ  แต่ก็มีนักเรียนคนอื่นๆ และครอบครัวของพวกเขามาดูเรา  พวกเขาดูประหลาดใจมาก  เพราะว่าไม่มีใครในชอนจูที่เป็นเหมือนเรา  สีผมก็ต่าง  แล้วยังสวมชุดดำอีก  เขามองเราด้วยความประหลาดใจ  แล้วหลังจากได้เห็นสีผมของผม  ก็มีคนหนึ่งพูดขึ้นว่า " โอ้! ผู้ชายคนนั้นมาจากในละครใช่มั๊ย"
YJS : เพราะว่าสีผมของเขาเหมือนกับบิบิมบับ
WB : พอได้ยินแบบนั้นทุกคนก็แบบว่า "โอ้..."  แล้วก็เริ่มขอลายเซ็นต์  ถามว่าผมมาทำอะไร  ผมบอกพวกเขาว่า  ผมมาร่วมพิธีจบการศึกษาของน้องสาว  ผมยังเซ็นต์ลายเซ็นต์ไม่เก่งแต่หลังจากวันนั้นผมก็เซ็นต์ได้ดีขึ้น  เพราะไม่ว่าจะเกิดอะไรขึ้นในวันนั้น  ผมคิดว่าน้องสาวของผมต้องรู้สึกขอบคุณผม  แม้ว่าเธอจะแสดงออกเหมือนปกติของเธอ  เธอแค่แบบว่า "โอ้.. พี่มาด้วยเหรอ" แล้วก็แค่พยักหน้า
SDY : บางทีเธออาจจะอายที่จะแสดงความรู้สึกกับพี่ชายของเธอตรง ๆ แล้วเพื่อนของเธอมีปฏิกิริยายังไงบ้าง
WB : พวกเขาชอบมาก  ถ่ายรูปกันเยอะแยะ เพื่อนที่ไปกับผมหน้าตาดีหมดทุกคนครับ  มิกวันก็ไปด้วย


#10: Woobin is IU’s best friend?
Kim Heesun: Please tells us story about your cousin too.
Woobin: Ah yes, I had a cousin whose still on primary school. Since I started appearing on TV, he thought that I must be friends with all celebrity. So I asked him who he like, and he said he likes IU, that he’s a big fans of IU. So secretly changed one of my friend’s name in my contact list to IU. So I said to him, “Oh really? You like IU? I’m her best friend.” But of course he doesn’t believe me, he kept asking of how do I know her, how close I am to her, so I show him ‘her’ number in my contact list and his eyes widen seeing it. So then I said to him, “If you can get a good score, then hyung will ask IU to give her sign for you.” After I said that, he immediately study really hard. I actually know one of IU’s real friend, so I can ask that person to ask IU to give me her sign. *suddenly talking to IU* IU-sshi, if we ever met on TV, please give me your sign.
Shin Dongyup: No no no, wait, please give her a personal message. *pointing at camera*
Woobin: Hello, IU-sshi, I’m Kim Woobin. I unintentionally told my little cousin that we’re best friends. I’m sorry about that. But my cousin is currently studying very hard because of your cheer and because he likes you, so please do give me your sign. I’ll be very thankful. KHS : ช่วยเล่าเรื่องลูกพี่ลูกน้องของคุณหน่อยสิ
WB : อ๋อ.. ผมมีลูกพี่ลูกน้องที่กำลังเรียนประถม  พอผมออกทีวีเขาก็เลยคิดว่าผมต้องเป็นเพื่อนกับคนดัง  พอผมถามว่าเขาชอบใคร  เขาบอกว่าเขาชอบ IU เขาเป็นแฟนตัวยงของ IU เลยล่ะ  ผมแอบเปลี่ยนชื่อในรายชื่อเพื่อนเป็น IU แล้วพูดกับเขาว่า "จริงเหรอ? นายชอบ IU ฉันเป็นเพื่อนสนิทกับเธอล่ะ" แน่ล่ะว่าเขาไม่เชื่อ  เขาถามผมว่ารู้จักกันได้ยังไง  สนิทกันแค่ไหน  ผมก็เลยเปิดรายชื่อในโทรศัพท์ให้ดู  เขาตาโตเลยตอนที่ได้เห็น  ผมบอกกับเขาว่า " ถ้านายทำคะแนนได้ดี  พี่จะขอลายเซ็นต์เธอให้"  หลังจากที่ผมพูดแบบนั้นเขาก็ตั้งใจเรียนมาก  ผมรู้จักกับคนที่เป็นเพื่อนของ IU ผมก็เลยขอให้เขาขอลายเซ็นต์เธอให้ *พูดกับ IU* คุณ IU ถ้าหากว่าเราเจอกัน  ช่วยเซ็นต์ลายเซ็นต์ให้ผมด้วยนะครับ

#11: Woobin, “Why do people find it really hard to say ‘I love you’?”
Yoon Jongshin: Woobin-sshi, do you often said ‘I love you’ to the person you love?
Woobin: Up until now, I can’t really understand what all of you has been talking up until now. I think it’s because I’m still in my 20s.
Yoon Jongshin: What do you feel hearing all of us talking?
Woobin: For me, and many other of my friends who are still in our 20s, we can’t understand (why does it really hard to say ‘I love you’). For people who get married early, of course they’d understand, but for me, my friends, and people who are younger than me, I don’t think we can understand that yet.
Shin Dongyup: Why can’t you understand it? Don’t you feel shy or awkward saying it?
Woobin: Well, if we haven’t met for a really long time, it may be hard.
Kim Heesun: If your girlfriend saying, “I love you..”
Woobin: “I love you too..” *bright smile*
Kim Heesun: Oh, it comes out very naturally. Is that the case with your parents too?
Woobin: Yeah, I think so.

#11 : ทำไมคนส่วนใหญ่ถึงคิดว่าการพูดคำว่า " ฉันรักเธอ " เป็นเรื่องยาก
YJS : วูบิน  คุณบอกรักคนที่คุณรักอยู่บ่อย ๆ ใช่มั๊ย
WB : จนถึงตอนนี้  ผมยังไม่เข้าใจจริง ๆ ว่าอะไรที่พวกคุณพูดถึงอยู่  คงเป็นเพราะผมเพิ่งจะอายุ 20 กว่า
YJS : รู้สึกยังไงที่ได้ยินเราคุยกัน
WB : สำหรับผมแล้ว  เพื่อนของผมส่วนใหญ่มีอายุ 20 กว่า  พวกเรายังคงไม่เข้าใจ (ประมาณว่าไม่เข้าใจว่าบอกรักมันยากยังไง) สำหรับคนที่แต่งงานแล้วพวกเขาคงจะเข้าใจ  แต่สำหรับผม  เพื่อนของผม  และคนที่อายุน้อยกว่าผม  ผมไม่คิดว่าเราจะเข้าใจได้
SDY : ทำไมถึงไม่เข้าใจล่ะ  คุณไม่รู้สึกอายหรือเคอะเขินเวลาพูดเหรอ
WB : ก็อาจจะใช่  ถ้าเราไม่ได้เจอกันมานาน  มันคงเป็นเรื่องยาก 
KHS : ถ้าแฟนของคุณพูดว่า "ฉันรักเธอ"
WB : "ผมก็รักคุณ...." *ยิ้มสดใส*
KHS : โอ้... เป็นธรรมชาติมาก ๆ  แล้วกับพ่อแม่ล่ะ
WB : ก็เหมือนกันครับ
